2024 COSTAR GROUP DRONE GIVEAWAY TRADE PROMOTION OFFICIAL RULES

NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN THE 2024 COSTAR GROUP DRONE GIVEAWAY TRADE PROMOTION (“PROMOTION”). A PURCHASE OR PAYMENT WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. Subject to federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and ordinances. Void in Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, U.S. Military Installations located in foreign countries, and where prohibited by law.

SPONSOR: The Sponsor of the Promotion is CoStar Realty Information, Inc. (“CoStar” or “Sponsor”), 1331 L Street, NW, Washington, DC 20005.

ENTRY PERIOD: Participants may enter the Promotion on November 9, 2024 from 7:30 PM Eastern Time to 9:00 PM Eastern Time (“Entry Period”) at Sponsor’s client party taking place at View Boston in Boston, Massachusetts (the “Event”). Sponsor’s clock will be the official timekeeping device of the Promotion and all of Sponsor’s determinations involving Promotion timing shall be final.

ELIGIBILITY: The Promotion is a trade promotion that is not open to the general public. The Promotion is open to (A) legal U.S. residents currently residing in the 50 United States including the District of Columbia; (B) who are the age of majority or older as of the date of entry; (C) who are members of, or participants in, the real estate industry; and (D) who are attending the Event. Employees, officers, and directors of Sponsor or Sponsor’s parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, representatives, legal counsel, advertising, public relations, promotional, fulfillment, and marketing agencies, and members of their immediate families (spouses, parents, siblings and children, regardless of where they live) and those living in the same household are not eligible to enter or win. Employees, officers and directors of competitors of Sponsor or Sponsor’s affiliates are not eligible to enter or win. Participation constitutes entrant’s full and unconditional agreement to these Official Rules, which are final and binding in all matters related to the Promotion. Sponsor reserves the right to verify the eligibility of winners.

HOW TO ENTER:

During the Entry Period, scan the QR code at the Event, and provide all required information to enter into the Promotion (each, an “Entry”). Limit one (1) Entry per person.

In order for an Entry to be valid, the Entry must be completed in full, and all information provided must be truthful. CoStar is not responsible for lost, misdirected, false, corrupted, illegible, or late entries. CoStar shall have the sole discretion to determine the validity of an Entry. All potential winners are subject to verification before any prize will be awarded. Automated or bulk entries or entries submitted by third parties will be disqualified. Incomplete, illegible, corrupted, or untimely entries are void and will be disqualified. ADDITIONAL ENTRIES WILL BE DISQUALIFIED.

PRIZE: On November 9, 2024, promptly following the end of the Entry Period, Sponsor will randomly select two hundred and fifteen (215) potential winners from all eligible entries to receive the following prize: one (1) DJI Avata drone package, including (a) DJI Avata drone; (b) remote controller; and (c) DJI Goggles Integra. Prize package also includes one (1) SanDisk 256GB microSDXC memory card with SD adapter. Colors/models may vary and are at Sponsor’s discretion. The odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received. Total Prize ARV: $183,610.

Winners will be notified by live announcement at the Event. You must be present at the Event during the drawing to win. If a potential winner fails to respond within a reasonable time as determined by Sponsor, or is disqualified for any reason, Sponsor will award the Prize to an alternate winner selected by random draw from all remaining entries. Prizes will be shipped to confirmed winners in early 2025. Shipping costs are included in the Prize.

The potential winners are subject to verification before a Prize will be awarded. The potential winners agree to furnish any documentation requested by Sponsor in connection with the awarding of a Prize, including travel documents, releases, affidavits of eligibility, or any legal or other paperwork required for receipt or use of the Prize. The Prize is non-transferable, and no substitutions are allowed except by Sponsor who may award a prize for one of comparable or greater value for any reason. Winner is solely responsible for all use of the Prize after it is awarded by Sponsor. Winner is also solely responsible for paying all taxes on the Prize (including applicable income or local personal property taxes) as well as obtaining/paying for any required insurance, licensing, registration with the Federal Aviation Administration, and/or title fees arising out of the receipt and use of the prizes. Any difference between the stated estimated value of a prize and its actual value will not be awarded. Winner will, if applicable, be issued a 1099 form from the Internal Revenue Service. By entering this Promotion, each participant accepts and agrees to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor. By participating in this Promotion, each participant also represents that there is no legal or contractual restriction barring participation, including, without limitation, any restriction from participant’s employer or company.

GENERAL CONDITIONS. This Promotion is governed by the laws of the United States and the District of Columbia. IF, FOR ANY REASON, THE PROMOTION IS NOT CAPABLE OF RUNNING AS PLANNED, COSTAR RESERVES THE RIGHT AT ITS SOLE DISCRETION TO CANCEL, TERMINATE, MODIFY OR SUSPEND THE PROMOTION AT ANY TIME WITHOUT NOTICE OR OBLIGATION. COSTAR SHALL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY INCORRECT OR INACCURATE INFORMATION, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, ANY TECHNICAL OR HUMAN ERROR WHICH MAY OCCUR IN THE PROCESSING OF SUBMISSIONS IN THE PROMOTION. Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual it finds to be attempting to tamper with or undermine the entry process or the legitimate operation of the Promotion or to be acting in violation of these Official Rules or in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner or with the intent to annoy, abuse, threaten, or harass any other person. By participating in the Promotion, all participants agree that the state and federal courts located in the District of Columbia shall have exclusive jurisdiction over claims arising out of the Promotion and matters related thereto, and that all participants agree to the venue and jurisdiction of such District of Columbia courts.

RELEASE AND LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY: By participating in the Promotion, participants agree to release and hold harmless Sponsor, its subsidiaries and affiliates, their advertising and promotions agencies, and all of their officers, directors, employees, and agents (the “Released Parties”) from and against any claim or cause of action arising out of participation in the Promotion or receipt or use of any prize, including, but not limited to: (a) unauthorized human intervention in the Promotion; (b) errors on Sponsor’s website; (c) lost, delayed, postage-due, misdirected, or undeliverable communications; (d) errors in the administration of the Promotion or the processing of entries; and (e) use or misuse of any Prize. Participants agree that the Released Parties and those acting pursuant to its authority: (1) except where prohibited by law, shall have the right and permission to print, publish, broadcast, and use worldwide in any media now known or hereafter developed, including but not limited to the world wide web, at any time or times, the winner's name (both individual name and employer/company name), portrait, picture, voice, likeness and biographical information for advertising, trade, and promotional purposes (including the announcement of his or her name on television or radio broadcast) without further consideration, compensation, permission, or notification, and (2) that the Released Parties and all of their respective officers, directors, employees, representatives and agents and their advertising and promotional agencies, and legal counsel shall have no liability whatsoever for, and will be held harmless by participants, against any liability for any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind to participants or any other person or entity, including personal injury or death to winner or any other person or damage to personal or real property, due in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from acceptance, possession, misuse or use of the prize, entry, or participation in this promotion or in any promotion-related activity, or any claims based on publicity rights, defamation, or invasion of privacy or merchandise delivery. Participant further agrees that, in any cause of action, Sponsors' liability will be limited to the cost of entering and participating in the Promotion, if any, and in no event shall the Sponsor be liable for attorney's fees. Without limiting the foregoing, everything regarding this Promotion, including the web site and any prize, is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, either express or implied, including, but not limited to, the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Some jurisdictions may not allow the limitation or exclusion of liability for incidental or consequential damages or exclusion of implied warranties, so some of the above limitations or exclusions may not apply. Check local laws for any restrictions or limitations regarding these limitations or exclusions.

PRIVACY: Information collected from participants is subject to Sponsor’s Privacy Policy, which can be found at http://www.costar.com/about/privacy-policy. Sponsor and Sponsor’s agents, affiliates, subsidiaries, representatives or service providers may use participants’ and/or referrals’ personal information submitted with entry for purposes of prize fulfillment and/or for future marketing by Sponsor, such as to notify them of a product or promotion that Sponsor thinks may be of interest.
